Letter to the Class
The subject that I would like to do for my project is the local metal music scene in the St. Louis Area. For the last six years I have been part of this scene and I believe there is a lot of things with this group that people have to learn. People today only see what goes on with the last part of the show, when the bands get up on the stage and show you what they've got. What I hope to do with this project is show you what goes on before, during and after the shows. I plan to get tons of interviews with the musicians and people involved with the shows that I have come to know over the last six years and let you in on the little tricks and secrets that happen with the venues and just how they get the bands to sound so perfect. The process isn't as pretty as some of you may think. There is a lot of information out there and I hope, with your permission, I can look into this group and show you just how awesome it is.

Your subject is a really good topic to present to people. People will either love or hate your topic. For the people that enjoy the metal scene such as your similar sound to the band that is called "All that Remains" this should be interesting. Try to show what its about, or maybe why they sing the lyrics that some bands sing and maybe people will open their mind to things other than what they know.
ReplyDeleteI think we all know what goes on before and after the band goes on stage. What types of things do people have to learn? How do you guys promote your band? What bands are you going to be interviewing? Do you think you could try to interview a bigger band that isn't apart of the local scene?
ReplyDeleteHaving a unilateral font for your blog works better than having three separate ones. Also, using colors works well! What if you made the header to each post one of the colors of the stage lights on your background?
Where are you going to get your redearch from? Why do people listen to metal music? Who are you going to interview? I think this is a good idea for this project.
ReplyDeleteAre you interviewing just bands you know or are you going to explore other metal bands as well? Are you going to have these interviews at the venues you all play at or are you scheduling personal interviews?
